For a given piece of software, it's possible that thousands of bugs are logged. That's good. However, it's a shame that the majority stays open because new features get added. It's understandable, but a shame nevertheless.
Behind every product, there's a product team including testers and functional people. And the morale drops a bit for every bug that's never fixed.
